Photo Books Can Connect Children with Relatives

Filed under: Photo Books — Photo Sharing Editor @ 2:23 pm

It is surely our hope that our children will be able to meet – and certainly have a relationship with – those relatives that were important in our own childhoods. Life, however – as we know – may have other plans; and the reality may be that the only way that younger family members will “know” older generations is through the stories told about them and the photographs that they see. Photography plays an enormous role in our lives for exactly this reason; it is our touchstone to the past and our way of documenting our present lives so that future generations can know us on some level.

To this end, many of us take great pains in creating photo albums and photo books that hold our family photography. Traditionally, we would develop the photographs we had taken on our 35mm cameras, placing photos into photo albums and perhaps documenting each photo, including the family members in the photos, the date that the photo was taken, and the events that were taking place.

Today, through the magic of photo sharing sites, consumers have many more options available to them in terms of preserving their photography for future generations. Through photo sharing sites, users are able upload their photographs from their cameras after which they can save them into online photo albums and photo books. And if traditional photo albums are desired, consumers can order photo prints to be delivered to their door in a matter of days and for as little as .05 cents a print.

With the help of photo sharing sites, families can ensure that their photos are preserved and protected so that young family members can know their relatives and the history of their family.
