Get On The Photo Sharing Bandwagon

Filed under: Photo Sharing — Photo Sharing Editor @ 1:12 pm

Digital photos aren’t always what they’re cracked up to be. This is especially so if owners of digital cameras don’t know how to bring the picture-taking fun to the next level. The reality is there are a number of ways to make sure images stored on a card get into the hands and hearts of others. Photo sharing is the way to go.

Photo sharing of digital images is the best way to make certain that family photos, vacation pictures and other worthy shots are seen by others. There are two main ways to actually make certain that digital shots are seen and appreciated. They are:

E-mail sharing – When images from a digital camera are uploaded to a computer and then attached to an e-mail, photo sharing has happened. There are better ways to achieve the goal than trying to attach individual photos to a mail, however. When online photo sharing sites are used to create photo albums, the prospect of mass sharing with family and friends becomes easier. Plus, the best sites also enable recipients of online photo albums to create their own prints, photo canvas designs and more. It’s even possible for a bragging grandparent, for example, to create photo books of a favorite little one.

Photo prints – High-quality digital images make incredible prints when they are handled by a reputable company. There is no reason not to enjoy paper-in-hand prints even if the image started out as digital. The best photo sharing sites offer photo prints from digital images. They also make it very simple for users to create photo cards, photo gifts and more.

Photo sharing is the way to go if making sure treasured images don’t stay trapped on a digital camera forever. The options for making this happen can be affordable, creative and quite fun.

Photo Sharing Keeps Friends, Families Closer

Filed under: Photo Sharing — Photo Sharing Editor @ 6:48 pm

In this day and age, it’s not uncommon for families and friends to be separated by miles, states and even countries. When staying in touch and keeping up with big life events is important, photo sharing is a great way to go. This provides a highly personalized way to tap into the power of the Internet and make sure no one misses big moments in loved ones’ lives just because of miles.

Online programs and companies that cater to photo sharing often provide the easiest way to go. Rather than having to attach individual photos to emails, this route enables the creation of online photo albums to share. It’s even possible for friends and family to choose to have photo prints created from the images that are shared.

The advantages of using online photo sharing rather than individualized emails include:

Photo storage ability – Many online photo sharing sites also double as image backups for people’s personal pictures. When albums are created, they are stored on a company’s computers in addition to PCs at home and in the office.

Easier presentation – Photo sharing through albums is often easier for creating a logical presentation of images. Many programs allow for the creation of captions for use with pictures sent in an album.

Speed – It is simply faster to share precious memories by using an online photo sharing site. Multiple images can be uploaded all at once and it’s even possible to send out album invitations to every friend and family member on a list. This can cut the time involved in photo sharing.

Photo sharing provides a great way to keep friends and family in the loop. When making sure no one misses out on precious moments is important, photo sharing delivers results.

Making Photo Sharing Fun

Filed under: Photo Sharing — Photo Sharing Editor @ 4:21 pm

Half the fun of having a digital camera lies in how easy photo sharing is made. Just plug in the camera, unload the pictures and then send off the images to friends and family via e-mail. It doesn’t get easier than that!

Sometimes, however, people want more than a digital image on a screen. When this is the case, there are some incredible options to give relatives and friends pictures to hang on to. To make photo sharing even more enjoyable consider:

Photo cards – Want to send a loved one a smile? Try photo cards with images of little ones, family pets, vacations and more. This is a great way to share memories with everyone while sending well wishes, too.

Photo calendar - A photo calendar can make every day of the year start off with a smile. Consider creating special calendars for friends, grandparents and more. When online ordering is on tap, creating new calendars for each person on a gift list is easy.

Photo gifts – Beyond calendars, photo gifts can include such things as photo imprinted books, day planners and more.

Photo prints – Good old fashion prints are welcomed by many, as well. They can even be blown up easily to make framing easier.

Photo sharing with digital images doesn’t have to be restricted to the ether. When tangible prints are desired, the Internet offers some incredible options.

Photo Sharing Mitigates Fuel Increases

Filed under: Photo Sharing — Photo Sharing Editor @ 2:35 pm

There are few among us who have not been impacted in some way by the rising fuel prices. Every time we pass the pump the prices seem to go up incrementally; by now, many of us around the country are paying $4 per gallon. Now, more than ever, consumers are looking for ways to cut corners and save money; restrained purchasing and prudent spending has taken the place of uninhibited shopping.

Luckily, most of us now have access to the Internet, through which we can receive most of our required products and services without ever having to leave our homes. With online shopping increasing in popularity, retailers are responding by making everything that they can possible offer available through online resources. This virtual shopping gives us many options as consumers, and allows us to save money by staying home as much as possible – keeping fuel in our cars and cash in our wallets.

Today we can even order our photography online through photo sharing websites that allow us to upload our photos from our digital cameras and either manage our photos online or order those products we want; everything from photo prints to photo gifts are available through photo sharing websites. With just a few minutes of time and very little money we can have all our photos placed into photo albums or photo books and shipped to our door.

And come the holidays, forget the running around with children to expensive professional photographers. Instead we can simply upload the photo that we like and create holiday photo cards that can be sent to family and friends.

Photo Sharing Changes the Way People Stay in Touch

Filed under: Photo Sharing — Photo Sharing Editor @ 10:06 am

Generations ago we were a society that communicated through poetic letters that took time to construct and even more time to deliver. With the invention of the telephone we were able to communicate in a different way – with the ability to pick up the phone and be connected to friends and family far and wide. Today, of course, communication is ours for the taking – at our fingertips day and night. Through email we are able to converse with people around the world with the touch of a few buttons; and of course with cell phones available to us – and few people going without one – there are few moments when we are really out of touch.

The Internet has even transformed our ability to share photos with each other. While traditional film development meant a trip to a retail outlet where we dropped off our film only to return a few days later to pick up our developed pictures, today’s photo management is a very different thing indeed. Photo sharing sites allow users to upload their digital photographs directly from their camera and manage their account accordingly.

Through photo sharing sites, users can conveniently manage their photos – organizing them into photo albums, creating photo cards for a variety of occasions, designing photo gifts for loved ones, and ordering high quality, affordable photo prints to be shipped directly to their door.

And by alerting faraway friends and family of the existence of online photo albums – and inviting them to view them on their own computer – we can keep in touch like never before – inviting loved ones into our lives on a daily basis, no matter where they live.

Photo Sharing Sites Perfect for Busy College Students

Filed under: Photo Sharing — Photo Sharing Editor @ 7:37 am

College is a time of self-exploration; a period of time during which many young people move to a college campus to live on their own for the first time and experience their newfound independence. This is typically a much harder time for parents who are separated from their children for the first time and experiencing a period of adjustment that comes with not being a part of their child’s day to day life. Subsequently, parents and their college students look for ways to keep in touch that honor their new boundaries but still allow them to remain updated on what’s happening in each other’s lives.

The computer has certainly changed the way in which we are able to communicate with each other and for college students email provides the perfect solution for keeping mom and dad in the loop without having to make a daily phone call. By extension, there are other resources provided online that offer a variety of interesting ways to keep in touch. Photo sharing sites, for instance, are the modern answer to the traditional photo albums, and allow college students to share pictures of their on-campus experience in a matter of moments.

Photo sharing sites allow digital camera users the opportunity to upload their pictures and organize them in online photo albums to which they can add captions and organize according to their own needs. From there, there are almost endless options available for what to do with those pictures. College students can order affordable photo prints – just pennies a print – to share with their friends, order photo books that capture their college experience, and order photo gifts that will make fun mementos. Even better, busy college students can invite their moms and dads and faraway friends and family to visit their online photo albums; keeping them a part of their college experience.

Photo Sharing After a Wedding

Filed under: Photo Sharing — Photo Sharing Editor @ 10:37 am

Weddings are a joyous event in any family’s life; a day during which we can share in the coming together of a couple in marriage. There are many things associated with a wedding day, not the least of which is the traditional photography taken during the ceremony itself, as well as those pictures captured during the reception and even prior to the event itself, as the bride gets ready and the groom spends time with his groomsmen. There are, of course, professional photographers that are often hired to capture the event. But beyond that, there are often many wedding guests that take their own pictures, often capturing the most candid, and ultimately the most special photos of the day. When the wedding day is over, and friends and family go back home, they can relive the day together by sharing the photography of that day through photo sharing sites.

Photo sharing sites allow those with digital cameras – the cameras that most of us are using in the modern world – the opportunity to upload pictures and create online photo albums that can be shared with family and friends around the country – and even around the world. Pictures taken at a wedding on a Saturday can be shared with loved ones on Sunday, so that even those who were not able to attend the actual event can still feel as though they have been involved in some way.

Further, photo sharing site users can create unique photo books that capture the photography of that special day – photo books that can be given to the bride and groom after their wedding day, or even as a special gift on their one year anniversary. But more than anything, photo sharing allows people to continually celebrate their wedding day through the magic of pictures.

Photo Sharing Sites: The New Tool for Scrapbooking

Filed under: Photo Sharing — Photo Sharing Editor @ 4:19 pm

Scrapbooking has become all the rage in recent years, spawning retail outlets completely dedicated to all the materials used by scrapbookers to create the perfect album. Birthdays, anniversaries, and the birth of babies warrant dedicated scrapbooks; parents even create scrapbooks showcasing each year in the life of their family. There are even scrapbook themed parties where scrapbook enthusiasts gather – with their photos, albums, and materials in tow – for dedicated hours of scrapbooking among a likeminded community.

With the Internet at our disposal, modern scrapbook enthusiasts have more options than ever. Photo sharing sites, in fact, have completely revolutionized the way in which we scrapbook. Through photo sharing sites, scrapbookers can ensure that they have all the resources they need at their disposal, including:

*The ability to upload photos taken from a digital camera and order photo prints. One of the benefits of photo sharing when it comes to photo prints is the many options that they offer. Users can choose to order one or two photo prints or multiple prints depending on the scrapbooking need. Additionally, users can print multiple copies of the same print – a nice feature for putting together multiple scrapbooks.

*The ability to create scrapbooks online by putting particular pictures together into photo albums and pairing them with photo captions or event descriptions. Now, more than ever, scrapbooking can be done online rather than in the traditional manner. This level of convenience is especially helpful for busy mothers who enjoy documenting events in the lives of their family, but are busy juggling work and other responsibilities.

Scrapbooking will most assuredly always be in style; a way in which families can connect through the generations. Whether putting a scrapbook together using traditional photo prints, or creating virtual scrapbooks through photo sharing sites, the power to document our past, present, and future is on our hands.

Photo Sharing Sites Have Changed the Process of Printing Photos

Filed under: Photo Sharing — Photo Sharing Editor @ 12:05 pm

There are many ways in which we choose to use photos; the most popular – throughout the generations – has been to develop photos rolls and place pictures in photo albums. In some cases we take the time to document the photo – giving names, dates, and the activity or event being shown. Today, however, we are much more diligent about preserving our photography. Digital cameras have allowed us to snap and save sometimes hundreds of photos at a time; after which we can download them to a computer or print whatever photo prints we desire. Photo sharing sites have taken this diligence one step further, allowing us to upload photos straight from our cameras to the site itself, where we can order whatever prints we choose – at whatever size and whatever quantity.

The difference between the photo prints of today and what are considered traditional photo prints is certainly the process through we which we order them. It used to be that in order to get what we wanted we would have to drop our camera film off –once the roll was completed, of course – to the local film developer. In some cases these were small specialty photography stores which eventually graduated to the larger retail chains that offered photo developing among their other products and services.

Now, through photo sharing sites, we are able to upload as little one photo at a time – regardless of how many other photos we have stored on our camera. Once we have uploaded our photos we are able to make decisions regarding how to use them. Within a photo sharing site we can choose to order photo prints that will be delivered right to our door, create online photo albums that can be shared with friends and family, and even design unique photo gifts.

Photo sharing sites have revolutionized the way in which handle our photography, creating enormous opportunities for managing our photos like never before.

Incredible - Photofun’s First 30 Days

Filed under: Photo Sharing — Photo Sharing Editor @ 3:17 pm

I am delighted to share with you the performance of www.Photofun.com since the launch of our online photo service on March 15th in the USA.

We have had a great response to the announcement and start-up of our photo-service in the USA, resulting in over 20,000 visitors to the site over the last 30 days; thousands of them becoming members, uploading photos and placing orders.

Photofun produced and shipped tens of thousands of FREE 4×6 photo prints through our “Get 50 FREE 4×6 prints when you sign up” campaign, along with hundreds of orders for other of our photo-products, such as:

• Pure Photo Albums
• Luxe Photo Albums
• Pocket Photo Albums
• Zap Photo Books
• Zippy Photo Books
• Photo Posters
• Photo Canvas
Personalized Business Cards

As with most “Start-ups” there have been a few glitches, however, we have worked hard to quickly resolve them.

The one issue we have not been able to resolve has been our delivery time for photos – our expectation was that we would be able to print and ship the photo-print orders within five working days. However, we found in reality that it takes us up to seven days to ship.

We are putting a plan together to bring the “order-to-ship” cycle for photo-prints down to a maximum of three working days; so that our customers receive their photo-print orders in around five working days (including shipping)!

I will keep you updated with the progress we make.

Thank you to all of our new members for using www.photofun.com

Sincerely,

Terry Rayner
President
